Orleans County in Mather & Brockett's Geographical History of the State of New York (1848).  Mather and Brockett treated the upstate counties a bit unevenly in terms of coverage, and Orleans County was one of the least favored.  While the coverage extends across four pages of the volume, regrettably there are only a scant three pages of material.  We do also include the section of Mather and Brockett relating to the land grants and patents of New York State as a supplement, however.  4++ pages, in PDF format, download now for $1.00.
