| Although our principal business
is republishing history, we occasionally do accept consulting
assignments in local history and genealogy.
Some examples of the kind of work we can do
are:
- Photographing structures, locations,
grave sites, and other places of genealogical or historical
significance.
- Performing research in the northwest
Connecticut, southwest Massachusetts, eastern New York State area.
- Planning research visits.
- Speaking and presenting on history
and genealogy-related topics.
- Publishing your history or
genealogical material on a CD-ROM or a website.
- Assisting your library, historical
association, or museum in developing a functional, modern
infrastructure at a reasonable cost.
Although rates for large projects are
negotiable, for smaller engagements our normal rate is $35/hour plus
expenses, which we keep to a reasonable minimum. We do have a minimum
engagement charge of $100 that applies unless we are able to combine two
engagements, as in a single photographic trip or research
visit. We always try
to ensure that we provide real value to our customers. If we do not
believe that we are particularly well qualified to undertake an
engagement, or if our schedule won't permit us to get to it promptly, we will decline it. |
